Children’s Health is important work, it can deliver joy to thousands of families, it is the foundation work that matters the health of human mankind, and is a holy mission benefited to many, many generations and to the future of the nation.

Shanghai Children Health Foundation is an organization focusing on  the Children Health care, it is a charity non-government organization. Shanghai Children Health Foundation focuses on motivating the public to care and support the Health care of Children, and to cooperate with the government on Children’s Health work, advocate the development of Children’s Health in Shanghai and improve the health standard since it was established 19 years ago.

With the continuous expansion and progressive open of the reforms.  Economy of our nation achieved rapid development. General population living have reached standard. However, minority families in the city are still living in  extremely poor situations because of different reasons. The financial status will be a big burden if the children of these families are seriously ill, and there is no guarantee those children can be received proper health care. To provide supports and love to the sick children of the extreme financial crisis families, and to advocate the public together to help these children, Shanghai Children Health Foundation has adopted and set this accomplishment as one of their major missions and responsibility. With the generous support and assistance from the philanthropist concerns children health care, Shanghai Children Health Foundation has been cooperated with Shanghai City children in-patient cooperation foundation, Shanghai Second Medical University, Affiliated Shanghai Children’s Medical Center, FuDan University, Affiliated Pediatric Hospital, JiaoTong University, Affiliated Children Hospital during the last several years to established the “Poverty Children in-patient Support Fund”, “Pediatric Congenital Heart Disease Support Fund” and “Children with Renal Failure Trust Fund”. The above funds are summarized to “ Poverty Children Health support Fund”. The establishment of this fund can provide the children in extreme financial hardship families more care, love and help from the publics.

The Poverty Children Health support Fund established by Shanghai Children Health Foundation is a bridge built between the public and the poverty children. It represents the voice from the children of extreme financial backgrounds to the society and represents the generous public support to the children.

Shanghai Children Health Foundation receives generous donations from numerous corporations, public organizations and hundreds of individuals nationally and internationally every year. Those continuous donations are the basic support to the Children Health poverty support fund and the foundation for the existence and development of the foundation, and also reflected the urban culture standard. In view of the above, the foundation will put their best efforts to utilize every donation received. The foundation holds a donation ceremony on the eve of the “1^st June” International Children’s Day every year. Madam Xie Li Juan, Honorary Chairwomen of Shanghai Children Health Foundation, Vice Director of Shanghai Committees of CPPCC and Dr. Yuan Hui Zhang, Chairman of Shanghai Children Health Foundation will attend to receive donations and present appreciation certificate to donors.
